Your Tasks
- Perform technical risk assessments and desktop reviews of international tunnel, underground construction and infrastructure projects.
- Conduct risk engineering surveys and site assessments on major construction projects worldwide.
- Evaluate construction methodologies, geotechnical conditions, project execution strategies and risk mitigation measures.
- Advise clients and project stakeholders on industry best practices and risk improvement opportunities.
- Prepare high-quality technical reports and recommendations for underwriters, clients, brokers and co-insurers.
- Develop Probable Maximum Loss (PML) scenarios and other engineering-based risk analyses.
- Support underwriting decisions through technical expertise and project-specific risk evaluations.
- Deliver technical training and knowledge-sharing sessions for internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the continuous development of risk engineering methodologies, tools and technical standards.
Your Profile
- Master's degree or PhD in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
- Strong expertise in tunnel construction, underground works, TBM operations and/or complex geotechnical projects.
- Solid understanding of construction risk management and project execution.
- Experience working in international and multidisciplinary project environments.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
- Customer-focused mindset and ability to engage with senior project stakeholders.
- Fluent English (written and spoken); additional languages such as German, Italian or Spanish are advantageous.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
