Risk Engineer Power Plants

Your Tasks

  • Conduct Risk Engineering Surveys for the Power Sector (erection, commissioning and operation)
  • Implementation of efficient loss prevention measures with the development of effective risk management procedures at client level
  • Develop and implement HRC Standards, Guidelines, and Risk Engineering tools
  • Evaluate loss potential in accordance with HRC guidelines
  • Desktop reviews of external risk reports as requested by underwriters
  • Provide reports in a timely manner in agreement with underwriters and in accordance with HRC Risk Engineering guidelines
  • Develop and provide training sessions for clients, underwriters and claims
  • Attend client presentations

Your Profile

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience working within the Power industry or experience as a power risk engineer in the insurance industry
  • Appropriate formal Engineering Qualifications (MSc. or PhD.) preferrably mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Professional membership of engineering associations would be advantageous
  • Good knowledge of power plant operations and maintenance of turbines as well as good understanding of international engineering standards
  • Good knowledge or experience in renewable energy would be an additional advantage
  • International experience or working with different culture is preferred
  • General curisosity for articical intelligence
  • Highly motivated personnel with excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as Team Player and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • English (min. level C1), further foreign language skills desirable
