Transport Risk Engineer

Your Tasks

  • Technical risk management for international transport and supply chains, with a focus on loss prevention and risk mitigation
  • Rengineering consulting for internationally operating industrial companies
  • Regular site inspections and risk assessments of storage facilities worldwide
  • Advising clients on transportation projects regarding packaging solutions, selection of transport equipment, cargo securing, and suitable transport routes
  • Monitoring and supervising cargo handling operations involving insured goods within global supply chains
  • Investigation of transport and storage losses and damages, including identification of root causes and development of preventive measures
  • Independent organization and delivery of training sessions and workshops for internal stakeholders and customers
  • Independently organising and delivering training courses and workshops – both internally and for our clients

Your Profile

  • University degree in engineering, natural sciences, logistics, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent qualification gained through the maritime industry or extensive experience as a marine surveyor/loss adjuster
  • Professional experience in an industrial environment, ideally combined with a solid understanding of global transportation and supply chain processes
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Analytical mindset combined with a structured and efficient way of working
  • General affinity for Artificial Intelligence (AI)
  • Interest in developing technology-based applications for risk analysis and assessment
  • Strong customer focus and enthusiasm for technical consulting
  • Fluent German and English language skills (minimum C1 level); additional languages are considered an asset
  • Willingness to undertake international business travel
