Strategic Underwriter Motor

Your Tasks

  • Driving of portfolio planning, steering and underwriting excellence initiatives for one or more markets in the motor division of HDI Global SE
  • Steering local branches by KPI
  • Co-creation of local underwriting strategy
  • Ensuring execution on local underwriting strategy
  • Referral underwriting for major accounts  
  • Upskilling and training of local underwriters  
  • Contribution to expert groups in underwriting topics and to the development of a true global underwriting community  
  • Foster collaboration amongst relevant stakeholders 

Your Profile

  • Completed studies in insurance and finance, training in insurance and finance with further training as an insurance specialist or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in underwriting, product development or strategy development/portfolio management of motor risks for industrial and corporate clients
  • Interest in an international role and experience
  • Communication and presentation skills as well as a confident and convincing manner
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the MS Office package
  • Willingness to travel and flexibility
  • Very good written and spoken German and English, other foreign languages are an advantage
