Senior Underwriting Performance Manager

Your Tasks

  • Independently prepare and lead portfolio steering workshops with central and decentralized Underwriting units
  • Analyze and assess insurance portfolios with a focus on profitability, trends, and areas for action
  • Manage stakeholders across disciplines, countries and lines of business, ensuring alignment on analyses, measures, and steering impulses
  • Collaborate closely with Underwriting, Portfolio Steering and other business units to discuss findings and drive the implementation of performance improvement measures
  • Lead and/or contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at further developing global portfolio steering and data-driven performance management approaches

Your Profile

  • Degree in Business Administration/Economics, (Business) Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or a comparable quantitative field
  • Several years of experience in the insurance industry, ideally in Underwriting, Portfolio Steering, Pricing, Reserving or Controlling
  • Strong understanding of profitability metrics and their application in steering insurance portfolios
  • Strong analytical skills with an affinity for data-driven approaches; additional experience with programming languages is a plus
  • Structured working style, confident appearance, and strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Very good English skills, both written and spoken; German skills are a plus
