Senior Underwriter - Transactional Risk Insurance

Your Tasks

  • Leading HDI's underwriting strategy and product development of W&I Insurance for the German market
  • Underwriting German/European transactional risks as lead Senior Underwriter
  • Developing strong technical expertise within the transactional risks team
  • Supporting the expansion of HDI's Transactional Risk Insurance Portfolio into selected jurisdictions
  • Assisting and participating in conferences, developing a strong network of contacts in the market, including legal advisors, managing agencies and insurance brokers

Your Profile

  • German qualified lawyer, accountant or educational background in finance or economy
  • Preferably 10 years of professional experience in the M&A field, including a minimum of one year of experience as W&I Senior Underwriter
  • Excellent communication and social skills, willing to build up strong relationships, meeting with clients and sales representatives to identify their needs and to explain HDI's offering
  • Entrepreneurial vision and intellectual rigor
  • Native German speaker and business fluent in English
  • Willingness to travel outside working location
