(Senior) Finance Business Partner

Your Tasks

  • Conduct in-depth analyses of financial closing and reporting results, providing insightful commentary and delivering reports and reconciliations to senior management
  • Prepare and support forecasting and planning processes, ensuring accurate results and strategic alignment
  • Collaborate closely with the Line of Business and other CFO departments, ensuring seamless coordination and information flow
  • Contribute to target setting and performance steering activities, supporting the achievement of financial and strategic objectives
  • Perform economic analyses for the Line of Business, providing valuable insights to senior financial management
  • Drive the continuous enhancement of steering, controlling, and reporting processes, tools, and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Support cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives, contributing expertise and analytical input to achieve business objectives

Your Profile

  • Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, or a comparable field
  • Experience in a controlling, actuarial, or accounting function within the (re)insurance industry is an advantage
  • Familiarity with German GAAP (HGB) and/or IFRS reporting standards (IFRS17) is an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex business topics and derive actionable insights
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey information effectively to a variety of stakeholders
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset and a drive for continuous improvement
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; Power BI, Snowflake/SQL and Copilot knowledge is a plus
  • Fluent in English (C1) written and spoken; additional fluent in German (min. B2) written and spoken
